10 Budget-friendly and high-end laptops for Project Zomboid in 2023 (March update)

Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie-infested sandbox. It asks one simple question – how will you die?

In the towns of Muldraugh and West Point, survivors must loot houses, build defences and do their utmost to delay their inevitable death day by day. No help is coming – their continued survival relies on their own cunning, luck and ability to evade a relentless horde.

In a world where a shotgun is king, where run and gun tactics have replaced military training, where survivors scavenge for ammo to blast their way through a hail of zombie claws, where the mall is the one place you can relax away from the never-ending stream of infected, Project Zomboid presents a unique vision of the apocalypse.

Project Zomboid gameplay revolves around food, water, sleep and maintaining one's sanity as much as it does crafting weapons and fortifying defences. It's about delaying that inevitable day when your luck runs out and your last bullet will turn out to be your last breath. With zombies roaming free in every direction in this Open World Sandbox First Person Survival RPG, players must scavenge for supplies as they struggle to survive the zombie apocalypse – which isn't going to end well.

Project Zomboid is my personal favourite on this list. I've been playing it since 2012. The game is at its peak right now. You'd be hard pressed to find something like this on Steam that can keep you engrossed in such an open-ended experience. Project Zomboid has turned into one of those "just one more hour" type of games.

Buy once – keep it forever. And I really mean it! With tons of mods out there that add new maps and playstyles, this is easily one of the best choices you can make on Steam right now!
